Thupakki is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss, which will star Vijay as an encounter specialist,alongside Kajal Aggarwal,with Vidyut Jamwal, Jayaram, Sathyan, Gautham Kurup and Akshara Gowda in supporting roles. Produced by S. Thanu.The film is expected to release on 15 August 2012.
